This year we celebrated the 4th Las Vegas style. My Mom, Dad, little brother Luke, and our family headed on over to the McDaniel's for a BBQ and some fireworks. Turns out fireworks are not illegal in all parts of Nevada (who knew?).  So we bought some little ones for the kids to enjoy and watched as many neighbors fired off the bigger (only legal to be sold in Pahrump) fireworks.  We didn't have to fight any crowds and enjoyed an amazing fireworks display right from the front yard. Turns out that Meagan loves fire just as much as her Daddy. :-) It was so much fun! Here are some pics!

Meagan loved getting to "start" the firework with Billy

Pick your own food

This morning we traveled up North to the Gilcrease Orchards.  It was established back in the 1920's and has a really neat story that you can read here. So awesome to see a family preserving a little bit of our history. Each week they have different crops that are ready to be picked. Today we enjoyed picking some apricots. We walked up and down the rows of apricot, pear and peach trees trying to spot the juiciest and yummiest fruit. Meagan had a great time helping us spot the "oranges" as she called them.  Unfortunately we forgot our sunscreen (a big no-no in Vegas) so we weren't able to stay out long. For our next trip we will plan a little better and hopefully be able to pick more delicious fruit and vegetables.  Here are some pictures!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

This year we have decided to start a new tradition...Green pizza! It came out looking really cool. Mike and I have both decided that mentally it is a little strange. Still tasted pretty delicious. Also, Meagan who is the pickiest eater, ate two pieces!

So I finally managed to line up the ages and outfits of Meagan and Aryanna.  Here is a comparison of them in the same outfit both right around 11 weeks old. So cute!

Family Game Night

We are so excited to announce the first ever Friend family game night! It was a big success. We played Don't Break the Ice. I remember playing this game with my brothers and sister. Meagan had just as much fun as we did when we were little. I think she could have played all night. She even beat Daddy a couple of times!

Craziness! They grow up so fast! (Months 1 and 2)

Wow! It has been a fast 2 (almost 3!) months since Aryanna Grace entered the world to be apart of our family. We have been so blessed to have family and friends come and visit us. Over Christmas my mom, my little brother Luke and Mike's mom, Janet, were all able to be here for the first few weeks of Aryanna's life and the crazy transition from one kid to two kids.
Christmas Eve (1 week old)

Then in January we were visited long time friends from school and church, Morgan Riley and Kara Coudriet. We had a fun filled couple of days and it was so good to catch up and watch them love on our girls! (I have pics but they are stuck on my phone...will update later.)

The beginning of February my mom was able to make a last minute getaway to the great city of Las Vegas and we had a great week!  Here is a beautiful picture she was able to capture of Aryanna.
1 1/2 months

The end of February brought out Mike's parents and again it was a great visit! We went to the children's museum, the shark reef and played at the park. Meagan has quite enjoyed all the attention too! Mike and I are so grateful to have two wonderful families that can share in the lives of our children.

Aryanna is now 12lbs 10.5oz and 22 1/2 inches long
We are having so much fun discovering both Meagan and Aryanna's similarities and differences. What a joy they are to have and a blessing from the Lord!

We are very blessed to welcome our newest precious addition
