Hilo Zoo

Today we went to the Zoo. It is one of the few tropical zoo's in the world and it's right here in Hilo. Did I mention that it is also free? Although it was quite hot we still enjoyed seeing all the different types of tropical animals. It is also a lot different than other zoos that I have been to. You could pretty much walk right up to the animals in their cages. Of course there are signs posted everywhere that the animal bites so you don't stick your fingers in. It was so cool though, I have never been that close. Usually you have to look through the camera lens to see them closer. They also have a petting zoo that we missed, next time. Meagan enjoyed the monkeys and kept pointing at them. My favorite was the white tiger names Namaste. He was born in Vegas and is one the few left in the world.
