Wedding/Hospital/Baby girl!

It has been a crazy 2 months between June and July. Phew! In June we were blessed to go back to Reno for my little brother's wedding. Daniel and Angella tied the knot on June 25th in BEAUTIFUL Yosemite at Glacier Point. The wedding was gorgeous and they couldn't have asked for nicer weather. We flew into Reno and stayed their for a few days enjoying and catching up with family and friends. Then we all made the trek down to Yosemite. We spent a couple days down there enjoying and taking in God's beautiful creation. The waterfalls and rivers were awesome! Congratulations to Daniel and Angella. We are so excited to have Angella as part of our family and Meagan can't wait for those cousins she was promised =)

Now onto July...
We had been home from Reno for a week when it all started. July 4th we went to the park to hang out with some friends and enjoy the day off. Then we went up to their house for a BBQ and some fireworks. Meagan hadn't been feeling great for a couple days. The usual runny nose and cough.  Just figured she had a small cold and I could feel 4 of her teeth coming in. (I hate teething by the way, I am so glad we cannot remember it!) That night she was starting to breathe heavily and not sleeping well. As the night progressed the heavy breathing turned into wheezing and eventually almost not breathing.  We rushed her to Hilo Hospital ER where they immediately started hooking my poor baby girl up to breathing machines.  After a couple of hours she got a little better but not good enough. Turns out that our hospital here doesn't have a pediatric ICU so we were flown to the hospital on Oahu. Meagan and I got onto a private MedAir plane that afternoon so that she could be better monitored. Mike was able to join us later that day. I am so thankful!  We were there for 3 more days as they kept a close eye on her. As Meagan began to feel better, she also got more and more restless! Anytime a nurse would come in she would start crying. She was on to them. They finally let her go to the little play room where she would have stayed for hours. In the end the doctor diagnosed Meagan with a bad reaction to a virus most likely a cold. We were sent home 4 days later with a nebulizer, steroids and antibiotics. I am so thankful that she is better but I would like to never experience that again. Praise God for keeping her safe and thank you to everyone who was praying for her!

A couple weeks later I got to fly to the same hospital but for a much more exciting reason. My doctor sends all his prego patients to Oahu to get their ultrasounds.  So there I was flying again to the same hospital but to find out how the baby was progressing and the gender. Everyone made their last minute guesses and....It's a girl! We are so excited for Meagan to have a little sister. She is going to have some pretty cute hand-me-downs too =)

So that is how our life has been for the last couple of months. Hope all is well with you all!
